Undoubtedly, 2020 has been a year to remember, and that is definitely the case for Disney Vacation Club members. In another unprecedented move, DVC dues for 2020 will be credited to DVC members among the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This move comes in consideration for members paying their full dues for the year, while being unable to take full advantage of their memberships.
Will I Receive Credit for DVC Dues 2020?
According to DVCNews.com, “Disney Vacation Club members will receive a credit for overpaid dues in 2020 with amounts ranging from $.25 per point for owners at Disney’s Vero Beach resort up to $1.70 per point for Disney’s Riviera Resort.” As many owners know, annual dues or timeshare maintenance fees are used to cover the cost of upgrades, operating costs and property taxes for the resorts they own share of.
Since many of the beloved DVC resorts were closed this year, DVC has decided to refund the overpaid dues in the form of credits for 2021. Here is a chart outlining the amount being refunded, alongside the rates for 2021 and the net amount for for 2021, minus the credit. Keep in mind, it is at the discretion of Disney Vacation Club to determine if and when owners receive these credits.

If you purchased points this year directly from Disney Vacation Club, you may not receive the full credit noted in the chart above. The credit will be pro-rated based on how much time you have owned in 2020. However, if you purchased DVC points from the resale market this year, you will receive the full amount of credit no matter when the transfer of ownership occurred.
