Happy Easter! Have you started making plans yet with the family for your Easter vacation? Rather than scramble for a cramped hotel stay and packed resort restaurants, take the whole family out for your Easter vacation in 2019.
Meet the Mouse for Easter at Disney World
It’s a no-brainer for families with young kids–and even adults. Disney brings the magic for holidays and events so that every celebration can be a memorable one. Head to Magic Kingdom for a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, as well as Mrs. Bunny! The pre-parade that comes before Festival of Fantasy features Azalea Trail Maids wearing themed outfits in pastel colors. Their Antebellum gowns flow beautifully during their performance and are a must-see!
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will also have special activities, and nothing says Easter like beautiful, sweet-scented flowers. With Easter weekend, guests can participate in the Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt. Special hidden “eggs” are themed after Disney characters and can be found in hidden places. Collect stickers and post them to your special map, and once you’ve found them all guests can return it to designated locations for a special Easter surprise.
Before heading to the parks, Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be holding multiple church services. Disney Vacation Club members should plan accordingly, but do not fret about which resort in the DVC family to stay at. Transportation to the parks and other locations is offered at each one. Holiday weeks do tend to be some of the busiest times in Orlando, so be prepared for slightly higher crowds than normal.
Satisfy Your Cravings with Easter Brunch on Myrtle Beach

Bundle Up for An Easter Weekend Ski Trip
Adventurous or active families might choose to go on a more exciting trip. Some of the best Easter vacations are in the mountains where the snow is still falling. One of the best ski towns, especially during holidays, is Breckenridge. With Breckenridge Grand Vacations, timeshare owners can choose from four different resorts along the Tenmile Range that border the town.
This year, there will be an on-mountain service in the snow. Children can have a meet & greet with the Easter Bunny, get their faces painted and go on a wild Easter egg scavenger hunt.
The slopes are expected to stay open until Memorial Day weekend, so pack your parkas and get ready for an active holiday.
For a true Easter weekend ski trip getaway, head to Shell Vacations Club Mountainside Lodge in British Columbia. Sitting on the slopes of Whistler, alpine adventurers can take to the ski lifts by the day and soak in the indoor heated swimming pools after. Whistler is also hosting multiple family-friendly events around town, including a lakeside Easter brunch at Aura Restaurant. A kid’s scavenger hunt will also be held at Nita Lake Lodge with the Easter bunny.
