Disney Vacation Club is known the world over for creating magical experiences for kids and adults alike. From Walt Disney World, the most popular theme park in the world, to fantastic cruises aboard state-of-the-art cruise ships, Disney always goes above and beyond vacationer expectations. You may even be familiar with Disney’s spectacular Christmas celebrations, such as the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

What you may not know is that Disney also offers some amazing opportunities to celebrate the most ghoulish of all holidays, Halloween. Let’s take a look at what the Mouse has to offer vacationers looking for a kid-friendly, Halloween scare.

Disney’s answer to all the too-spooky-for-the-kids Halloween entertainment options is Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Held at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida. The party typically runs from August to October, granting you flexibility when planning your trip. No matter when you go visit the Mouse after dark, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween  Party is sure to be a treat. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party dates 2019 are  – , 2019.

Kids can trick-or-treat at several locations throughout the park and don their favorite character costume (just make sure to follow the costume guidelines). Special Halloween attractions are available throughout the park such as the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular, the Happy HalloWishes fireworks show and the ultimate in spooky fun, the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade.

When you are ready to dance the night away, head to the Scream-o-Ween Dance Party to hang out with Mike and Sulley from the Monsters Inc. movies.

Disney Halloween on the High Seas

What’s better than a spook-tacular party on land? A Halloween celebration aboard a Disney cruise ship, of course! Halloween on the High Seas cruises range from three-night cruises departing from Port Canaveral to week-long sojourns sailing from New York City. The ghoulish voyage’s earliest sail dates are in September, meaning you have plenty of flexibility when planning the perfect Halloween trip.

Onboard vacationers can take part in Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, the Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream, special Halloween activities for the kids and even an adults-only Halloween party where you can enter a costume contest.

Other Fall Fun Activities at Walt Disney World

There are other fun things to do in the parks in addition to attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or embarking on a Halloween adventure on the High Seas. If a simple character dinner is more of your cup of tea, head to Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. From early September through early November, you can dine with Minnie, Daisy, Pluto and others dressed in their best Halloween attire.

Want to experience something other than mouse-shaped pumpkins and candy? Stroll into Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, held every fall from late August to mid-November. Here, vacationers can enjoy celebrity Chef demonstrations, wine and beer seminars and even live music at the Eat to the Beat Concert series.
