Like other points-based programs, Marriott’s Club Points allow owners travel flexibility. Your annual allotment of Club Points is your vacation currency, which is used to book stays within Marriott’s carefully curated portfolio of resorts around the world. There are different benefit levels of membership determined by how many points you own, with the lowest being Owner (3,999 points) and the highest being Chairman’s Club (15,000+ points). The number of points you have determines where you can stay and for how long. Plus, with an Interval International membership, you can exchange your Club Points for stays within the II network.
This state-of-the-art loyalty program rewards you for charges and stays at qualifying resorts. Rewards include points, flyer miles, free night awards, and more. Not to mention, owners can also exchange their Club Points for Marriott Bonvoy points to access over 8,000 spectacular hotels from 30+ brands.
No one said timeshares were cheap. The average cost of a Marriott Vacation Club timeshare is around $26,500; this also doesn’t include the cost of maintenance fees and annual dues.
But what if we told you that you could save thousands when you buy resale? TBA’s resale market has Marriott Vacation Club timeshare resales for a fraction of the cost of retail. In fact, the secondary market often features Marriott resales for under $1,000. It’s important to note that some benefits are only available for owners who have purchased directly from Marriott. However, if saving money on a wide portfolio of resorts is your priority, the resale market is a great place to shop.
There are only two restrictions on buying off of the resale market with Marriott Vacation Club. The first is that you won’t be able to gain access to the benefits related to Marriott Elite and Lifetime membership status.
